Mars Bar© Mousse
Recipe ingredients
3 x 60 g Mars bars©, chopped
1 tbsp dry instant coffee
2 tbsp boiling water
2 Eggs, separated
300 ml thickened cream
2 tbsp caster sugar
Cooking Steps
Grease 6 X 180ml freeze-proof moulds or one large mould, place moulds on tray and freeze while preparing mousse.
Place Mars bars© in a large heatproof bowl over a pan or pot of simmering water; stir occasionally until melted. Stir in combined coffee and water then cool.
Stir egg yolks into chocolate mixture then fold in whipped cream.
Beat egg whites until soft peaks form, add sugar and beat until dissolved. Fold egg white mixture into chocolate mixture.
Spoon into prepared moulds, cover and freeze until firm.
