Mars Bar© Mousse

Chocolate mousse made with Mars Bar© chocolate bars, coffee and thickened cream.

Recipe ingredients

3 x 60 g Mars bars©, chopped
1 tbsp dry instant coffee
2 tbsp boiling water
2 Eggs, separated
300 ml thickened cream
2 tbsp caster sugar

Cooking Steps

  • Grease 6 X 180ml freeze-proof moulds or one large mould, place moulds on tray and freeze while preparing mousse.

  • Place Mars bars© in a large heatproof bowl over a pan or pot of simmering water; stir occasionally until melted. Stir in combined coffee and water then cool.

  • Stir egg yolks into chocolate mixture then fold in whipped cream.

  • Beat egg whites until soft peaks form, add sugar and beat until dissolved. Fold egg white mixture into chocolate mixture.

  • Spoon into prepared moulds, cover and freeze until firm.
