Toffee oats cookies

Toffee oats cookies

Oatmeal cookies filled with toffee and pecan nuts.

Recipe ingredients

¾ cup soft butter
½ cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1½ cups rolled oats
1 cup all-purpose flour
½ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
½ cup chopped pecans
2 cups toffee, chopped

Cooking Steps

  • Cream together the butter and brown sugar in a bowl then stir in the egg and vanilla until smooth.

  • Sift together the flour, salt and baking soda and also stir into the creamed mixture. Stir in rolled oats and finally, stir in the chopped toffee pieces.

  • Place dough by rounded tablespoons onto the prepared cookie sheets, and flatten slightly.

  • Preheat your oven to 150 °C (300 °F) and line a cookie tray with baking paper. Bake for about 15 minutes.
