Question
Hi, Does that mean I should do all the mixing on the stove in a pot?
Thanks :)
That's my fault, sorry.
Hi Jess, sorry for my bad instructions there :p I will get it changed ASAP. I saw there was a bad spelling mistake in there anyway.
To answer your question;
No don't mix everything on the stove-top. First melt the butter etc. in a saucepan, then let it cool. After the cooling, mix everything together in a seperate bowl before cooking. If the butter mixture is too hot, it will cook the eggs while you're mixing everything together, that's not good.
Thanks!
Hey! Thanks for the clarification. I went ahead and made the cake how I thought and it is looking really great. My son was home sick today and wanted to give daddy a surprise party and so we made the cake and he iced it. We have to wait for daddy to get home before we can try it, but I will let you know how we did once we have had a good taste test... :party:

Normally this has something to do with heat. You could try baking the cake for a minute or two longer or perhaps leave it in the oven to cool slowly for a few minutes after you've swicthed it off and before taking it out. :~
