Flat Bread
Recipe ingredients
500g flour
250ml warm water
8g yeast, (I use 1 sachet of Edmonds instant dry yeast)
3-4 Tblsp Sugar
Salt
Cooking Steps
Place flour in bowl and make a well
Add 250ml of water into the well
Add yeast, sugar and good pinch of salt to water well.
Roughly mix together with wooden spoon starting centre of well and working out.
Take mixture out of bowl and knead for a good 5-10 minutes on bench until dough is smooth and velvety. If to wet add bit more flour or if to dry add a bit of water. Should end up smooth.
Make a ball and dust with flour return to clean bowl cover with cling wrap.
Place in warm place for 30 minutes or until it has doubled in size.
Divide dough into 8 equal parts (c100g each), roll out into dinner plate size and shape into circle
Pre heat fry pan to high.
Place a rolled out portion in pan and turn every 15-20 seconds until cooked.
Eat straight away, or keep and re heat in micro oven or freeze for later.

Thanks stuartzm made these
Thanks stuartzm made these last weekend - Were yummy despite me using old yeast by accident so the dough didn't rise - still tasted ok though. Will get some new yeast and try it again prob tonight.
