Not so Scheduled downtime.
Please except my apology for the unexpected technical difficulties we experienced last night. It was entirely my fault and not caused by any outside interference. At least I've learned an important lesson along the way. Sometimes making the mistake is the only way to learn I guess. Lesson learned! so I don't think anything similar to this incident will happen again.
What I thought would be a simple task became a small nightmare in the end. And like any other crazy person, I worked directly on the "live" website rather than testing it locally first. A few hours testing, searching, updating, backups etc. later, found the bug to squash. Turned out to be 3 lines of code down the very bottom of a no-name file. Deleted those and we're back in business.
No data or anything like that should be lost or changed but if you did experience any issues please don't hesitate to make contact or post a comment and I'll sort it out.
