The new FreeRecipes

Recently our website has undergone some major changes. Starting 10 July 2010 I moved around 50% of the site from our old CMS (Content Management System) to a brand new much better system. As time goes by I will move as much of the content from our old database to the new one. Unfortunately all users previously registered with us will have to create a new account. There are some important reasons why previously registered users will not be transferred over to the new system, my sincere apologies.

We now have a much more functional site overall with many new features and unlimited potential for adding even more features. For example; you can now take part in conversations with other site users or simply voice your opinion in the forums or by posting a comment on any listing. You can customize your own profile page by uploading an image and adding some info about yourself. Site members are listed in several ways and also by City and Interest categories so you'll meet new people too.

I will also try to keep advertising display as unobtrusive as possible. Unfortunately it's the ads that pay the costs of keeping our site alive and free. If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to leave a comment below or just create your own blog entry.
