Asian vermicelli with hoisin sauce
Recipe ingredients
150-200g of chicken, beef, tofu etc cubed per person
½ diced onion
1 tbls chopped fresh ginger
1 carrot julienned
½ large yellow capsicum julienned
1 courgette julienned
2-3 tbls hoisin sauce
2-3 tbls soya sauce
2-3 tbls water
1 oxo stock cube (vege/chicken)
100g vermicilli
Oil
Cooking Steps
Brown chicken, beef etc in deep wok. Put aside
cook vermicilli and drain and put to one side
heat oil and cook onion & ginger for 1-2 minutes
add carrot and capsicum cook 1-2 minutes
add courgette cook 1-2 minutes
crush stock cube and mix into vegetables, add back meat/tofu
add hoisin sauce, soya sauce and water, mix all together. Add more water if appears dry.
Refresh vermicilli under hot water, drain and add to wok, mixing together.
Ok to add more water, hoisin, soya if need be. Season to taste and serve.
